The exact origins of the ancient civilization which made this ruined city its home is shrouded in mystery, but over the years it has attracted more than its fair share of unscrupulous individuals eager to lay claim to the legendary treasures contained within. None of those who pass beyond its crumbling stone walls have emerged unscathed – a few have succeeded in keeping their lives, but nobody who has visited the Haunted Ruins have kept their sanity. It is rumored that a primordial evil has made its home here, turning otherwise ordinary Mythlanders who stray into its domain into mindless servants of its sinister agenda.
